Support Science Based Expansion of the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument

Originally designated in 2000, the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument is the first monument dedicated to protect the natural diversity of life found in the area, and it is a critical corridor for plants and animals to move across the landscape. Local scientists have urged better boundaries for the Monument to ensure protection of this landscape from encroaching development and climate change

Your support is needed!

Supporters of increased monument protection include the boards of the Ashland and Talent Chambers of Commerce, and Ashland and Talent City Councils, local Oregon state legislators Representative Peter Buckley, and the late Senator Alan Bates. Our local leaders have expressed support for Monument expansion because of the quality-of-life benefits to the local community.

Join this monumental movement by sending a letter your Senators today asking them to support science based expansion of the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument.
