Support State Bills S8473 and A10387

The custom costume industry remains in jeopardy as long as small businesses in NY can be evicted for defaulting on their rent during Covid-19. If our state government fails to find a solution, the industry and the hundreds of jobs it supports could disappear forever.

Senate Bill 8473 sponsored by Sen. Brad Hoylman, and Assembly Bill 10387 sponsored by Assemblyman Harvey Epstein would freeze evictions for small businesses in NY for six months after the end of the state disaster emergency. This lifeline could save thousands of small businesses from going under, but the bills are still held up in committee.

We must act now and tell our representatives to support this vital piece of legislation. Make sure your senator and assembly member understand the crucial role the costume industry will play in restarting the $110 billion entertainment sector here in NY.

Fill out your information on the right to find your representative. Then you'll be given a sample letter to send.

Thank you for showing your support for the Costume Industry Coalition.
