Support Tenant Protections in Spokane!

Dear Tenants and Supporters,

Spokane City Council is voting on a package of tenant protection ordinances on Monday, February 27 during the legislative session of the city council meeting at 6:00 p.m.

Thank you for your calls and emails and letters of support over the years to support Spokane tenants in calling on Spokane City Council to protect renters from unjust displacement, skyrocketing rent increases and to increase funding for rental assistance and extending the moratorium on evictions during the COVID-19 public health emergency. We are asking you to once again support Spokane renters by signing this Action Alert letter urging passage of these crucial protections that lay a foundation for housing justice in Spokane.

Please sign the Action Alert calling on Spokane City Council to vote yes on these much needed and long overdue tenant protections.

Thank you for your support. Please join tenants at the City Council meeting on February 27 when they vote on these ordinances. Spokane City Council is now meeting in person in the Council Chambers located in the lower level of City Hall. You can sign up to speak in favor of the ordinance between 5:00-6:00 p.m. in person or remotely. Or you can just attend in person without speaking to show support for the courageous tenants who will testify. We will be handing out t-shirts, buttons and stickers so you can show your support. Thank you.
