Act Now: Support the Genesee County Stream Data Centers Project by Friday, April 17th

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO FRIDAY, APRIL 17TH.

The IBEW is calling on all New York members, retirees, and family members to write to the Genesee County Economic Development Center (GCEDC) Board of Directors and voice their support for the proposed Stream US Data Centers project at STAMP in Genesee County.

This $19.4 billion investment represents a once-in-a-generation opportunity to create good-paying union jobs, strengthen local economies, and support long-term infrastructure improvements in Western New York.

The Stream project will create more than 1,200 construction jobs annually over five years and deliver 125 permanent, family-sustaining positions once complete. It will also generate significant revenue for schools, infrastructure, and public services, while supporting local businesses and contractors across the region.

For IBEW members, this project means expanded access to high-quality union job opportunities, stronger long-term economic growth in our communities, and increased demand for skilled electrical workers. It also represents a critical investment in infrastructure that directly benefits working families.

Good-paying union jobs help maintain strong communities. Projects like this help strengthen local economies, reinforce demand for skilled union labor, and support long-term job stability in key industries like energy and technology.

Community leaders must support projects that create real opportunities for working families while strengthening local infrastructure and economies.

📝 We must act now. The deadline for submissions is Friday, April 17th.
Write to the Genesee County Economic Development Board of Directors and urge them to support the Stream Data Centers project at STAMP. Tell them to back investments that create union jobs, strengthen communities, and deliver long-term economic benefits for IBEW members and their families.
