Tell Carney: No Subsidies for LNG!
Join students across Canada taking action to demand: no public money for climate chaos!
Prime Minister Mark Carney and his government are gearing up to spend billions of dollars on liquefied natural gas (LNG) projects and other new fossil fuel infrastructure. They say that these projects will strengthen the Canadian economy. In reality, they are incredibly bad investments.
LNG projects face a high risk of becoming stranded assets, destabilize our environment, and trample over Indigenous rights. By spending money on LNG and fossil fuels, Carney’s government is lining the pockets of wealthy executives at oil and gas companies at our expense.
This week, students at post-secondary campuses across the country are taking action against this bad investment. We believe that public money must be used for public good.
