Tell Congress: Protect Veterans and the VA Workforce
Congress is moving a bill that would weaken the VA workforce and undermine the care Veterans depend on.
The so-called "Take Care of America's Veterans Act" (H.R. 9237 / S. 4744) is a 554-page package containing more than 60 bills. Buried within it are provisions that would gut workplace rights for the VA mental health professionals our Veterans rely on, cut certain Veterans' earned benefits, and accelerate the outsourcing of Veterans' care to private, for-profit providers.
At a time when Veterans continue to face challenges accessing care and the VA struggles to recruit and retain qualified clinicians, Congress should be strengthening the VA workforce—not weakening it.
This is happening during a Veteran suicide crisis. Roughly 17.5 Veterans die by
suicide every day.
Now is the time to strengthen VA care, not dismantle it. It takes 30 seconds. Add your name and personalize your message, and we’ll deliver your letter directly to your Senators and Representative. Veterans, VA employees, family members, and every American who believes we keep our promises to those who served, add your voice.
