While important investments like Paid Family Medical Leave have been removed from the reconciliation package, this legislation still contains life changing investments in universal pre-school, affordable childcare, and an extension of the improved Child Tax Credit that Oregon families are using to meet their basic needs. The package also makes huge investments in affordable housing, higher education, and healthcare.

America is a wealthy nation, but too many don’t share in our prosperity. The Build Back Better Act invests in everyday Americans by increasing taxes on big corporations that have gotten away with paying nothing in taxes and the very wealthiest Americans making tens of millions of dollars a year.
