Tell Congress: Railroad and Airline Workers Deserve an Overtime Tax Deduction Too!
The bipartisan No Tax on Overtime for All Workers Act (H.R. 5475) will expand the overtime tax deduction from the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) to railroaders, airline workers, first responders, truck drivers, and more workers across the country. The bill is being led by Reps. Malliotakis (R-NY) and Sykes (D-OH), Fitzpatrick (R-PA), Horsford (D-NV), LaLota (R-NY), and Suozzi (D-NY).
TELL YOUR REPRESENTATIVE: WORKERS COVERED UNDER THE RAILWAY LABOR ACT DESERVE OVERTIME TAX DEDUCTION TOO!
The OBBBA included a provision creating a deduction for federal overtime taxes for workers covered under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Unfortunately, many FLSA-exempt workers – including railroad and airline workers – don’t qualify for the deduction. The No Tax on Overtime for All Workers Act simply expands that provision to include FLSA-exempt workers around the country who work countless overtime hours.
SEND YOUR LETTER NOW TO URGE THEM TO CO-SPONSOR THE NO TAX ON OVERTIME FOR ALL WORKERS ACT!
Irregular schedules, forced overtime, night shifts and days/weeks away from home are part of the job for airline, railroad, and many other frontline workers. Workers covered under the Railway Labor Act deserve the same benefits as everyone else.
Please tell your Representatives to cosponsor H.R. 5475, the No Tax on Overtime Act, to recognize the hard work and dedication of railroaders, airline workers, first responders and more.
