Tell Congress to Support Global COVID Response

To help avoid global economic collapse, the death of millions of people worldwide, and further worsening of U.S. export markets, Congress must act swiftly and decisively. Only Congress can authorize the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to release a financial resource called Special Drawing Rights (SDRs) at the scale and speed needed. These resources are not loans to the governments, and have no cost to American taxpayers. The Support for Global Financial Institution Pandemic Response Act (S.67), introduced by Sen. Durbin and colleagues, and the House companion, Robust International Response to Pandemic Act (H.R.986) include this emergency financial resource which would allow countries the resources they need -- without costing U.S. taxpayers a penny. Your lawmakers can help enact these bills by co-sponsoring them.
