TELL GEORGIA SENATORS TO SUPPORT SENATE BILL 46

The 2021 Georgia legislative session has started with health care remaining a major concern in Georgia. The Georgia Senate Health and Human Services Committee is considering legislation on Tuesday, February 9, that will make it easier to get vaccines that help keep you healthy from communicable illnesses like hepatitis, tetanus, or the flu.

But we need your help to pass this important legislation.

Senate Bill 46 will allow Georgia pharmacists to continue administering the COVID-19 vaccine, as well as expand pharmacist administration of all Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) vaccines for adults. Many Georgia residents live in rural areas, where pharmacists are more readily accessed than other health care providers. Allowing pharmacists to provide all ACIP-approved vaccines for adults can help us tackle vaccine-preventable illnesses.

Send an email to tell the Senate Health & Human Services Committee to authorize pharmacist administration of vaccines to Georgians.

Expanding vaccine administration to pharmacists is a small step that legislators can take to help protect Georgians across the state.

Tell your legislators to support pharmacist vaccination today.
