Tell NDP to oppose massive boost in military spending
$41 billion more per year on warfare, that’s what the Parliamentary Budget Officer just calculated Canada needs to spend to reach NATO’s 2% of GDP target.
Officially, the NDP says NATO's military spending target number is arbitrary and needn’t be prioritized, but the party has stayed mum on the issue since the Liberals committed to reaching the goal in July. Please take a minute to email NDP leader Jagmeet Singh and defence critic Lindsay Mathyssen to ask them to clearly repudiate evermore spending on socially and ecologically damaging militarism.
