Tell Senators to Vote NO on HB25-1040: Nuclear Energy is NOT Clean Energy!

Help keep Colorado nuclear-free by opposing HB25-1040, a bill to update the statutory definitions of "clean energy" and "clean energy resource" to include nuclear energy.

On January 8th, Colorado Representatives Valdez, Winter, Roberts, and Liston introduced a bill to update the statutory definition of "clean energy" and "clean energy resource" to include nuclear power. This bill has been introduced in the Colorado Legislature in prior years, but has been voted down due to the health, safety, financial, and logistical risks of nuclear energy. The bill recently passed the Colorado House, and is now on the way to the Senate Transportation and Energy Committee.

If you agree that Colorado's energy transition should not include nuclear energy, please send a message to the Senate Transportation and Energy Committee ahead of the bill hearing date.
