Tell the FUSD Board to Support Our Students: Agree to a Fair Contract with Our Teachers Now!

Fremont Parents and Community,

We are so thankful for your support in our one and a half year fight for a contract. We have been tirelessly advocating for supportive class and caseload caps, competitive compensation, and affordable healthcare. We know these wins will be the foundation for preserving and improving the schools our students deserve, and we are looking to you to help us get across the finish line.

Please help us by writing a letter to our school board and superintendent to show our elected leaders that you support our demands at the table. While we are holding the option to go on strike as a last resort, we are eager to hear from the district that they are ready to negotiate. We don't want to have to go on strike, but we will if we have to, to fight for the schools our students deserve.

The difference between our proposal and what the district has offered comes down to class size caps that will ensure the best learning environments for our students and compensation that keeps us competitive with neighboring districts. When we cost out what we are asking for and what the district has proposed, the amount that will get us to settlement is around 2% of the district's near $530 million dollar projected outgoing budget.

We know we are stronger when we work together and we are grateful to have you by our side. Can you help us convince the Superintendent to come to agreement and help us avoid a strike? We know the district needs to hear from parents and community: let them know that now is the time to prioritize our students.

Please write a letter to the FUSD Superintendent and School Board and let them know that FREMONT STUDENTS DESERVE THE BEST!
