Tell the State Department to revoke accused Colombian human rights abuser's visa!

Witness for Peace was disturbed to recently learn that General Jaime Lasprilla Villamizar has been working at the Colombian Embassy in Washington, DC since November 2015. Gen. Lasprilla is a former Army Commander who was removed from his post in July 2015, shortly after the release of a blistering report by Human Rights Watch (HRW) detailing senior Colombian military officials’ responsibility for extrajudicial killings by troops under their command.

And in July 2017, the chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) said in a report that it's seeking prosecution of current and former Colombian military officials, including Gen. Lasprilla, for these extrajudicial executions

Take action NOW to tell the State Department that Gen. Lasprilla's placement is completely unacceptable, that State should revoke his visa immediately, and that a full investigation be pursued.
