Tell your representatives to oppose changes to the WRS

WEAC is closely watching a proposal that would raise the early retirement age for educators from 55 to 60 and change the calculation for final average earning for new participants in the Wisconsin Retirement System. Senate Bill 190 and its companion bill, Assembly Bill 319, have no public hearings scheduled. However, it’s beneficial that educators are on the record opposing changes that could weaken the WRS. WEAC and our partners in the Wisconsin Coalition for Retirement Security urge you to contact your state representatives.
