The Workforce Alliance is a partnership among adult education workforce training providers, business, labor, philanthropic organizations, and community leaders dedicated to ensuring that Rhode Island has a dynamic and comprehensive workforce development system that meets the needs of employers and workers.

The Workforce Alliance would love your support in getting key bills passed to ensure a robust workforce in Rhode Island:

1.      Increase Funding for Adult Education – H 7225 (Abney)

2.      Increase minimum wage over a few years and tie it to inflation at $20 – H 7579 (Morales); S 2237 (Mack)

3.      Invest in bilingual education & multilingual teachers – H 7514 (Felix); H 7594( Morales)

4.      Increase the state Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) to 30% – H 7589 (O’Brien)

5.      Create a state Child Tax Credit (CTC) to combat child poverty - H 7924 (Tanzi)/S 2575 (Cano)
