Texas: Take Action to Legalize Cannabis!
Our state's current cannabis laws are unnecessarily complicated, inconsistent, and ineffective. It’s time to legalize cannabis!
Join us in calling on state lawmakers to legalize possession and establish an effective regulatory infrastructure for Texas business owners to grow, manufacture, and sell safe cannabis products.
Note: Hemp-derived cannabis products are currently on the market in Texas, but without legislative action, pending litigation could shut down businesses and force consumers to purchase products online or from the illicit market. Additionally, while these types of products appear to be safe in general, many consumable hemp products are synthetic and there is very little regulatory infrastructure in place to ensure consumer protection. Legalizing botanical cannabis will enable consumers to choose cannabis and cannabis products with naturally occurring Delta 9 THC, rather than synthetic cannabinoids.
