After President Trump withdrew the United States from the Paris Climate Accord, governors and mayors have stepped in to fill the void. Washington governor Inslee co-founded (with NY governor Cuomo and CA governor Brown) the United States Climate Alliance. This is a list of states pledging to uphold the Paris Accord. Currently 12 states and Puerto Rico are members. An additional 7 states have expressed interest. At the same time, more than 200 mayors across the US have joined the "Mayors National Climate Action Agenda", a related group of cities pledging to uphold the Paris Accords. Washington cities in the group include Seattle, Olympia, Tacoma, Redmond, Bellingham, Tukwila, and Snoqualmie. Write a note to governor Inslee thanking him for supporting the environment. If your city is on the list above, write a similar note to your mayor.
