The Senate Must say NO more funding for Trump’s mass detention and deportations

Late Tuesday night the House of Representatives passed a “Continuing Resolution” that gives the Trump administration billions more for detention and deportation, including giving ICE nearly $500 million more to give the agency a nearly $10 billion budget. Additionally, this bill strips away guardrails and oversight mechanisms, giving the Trump administration power to act with impunity. It is now in the hands of the Senate and time is of the essence.
Not only does the House bill provide billions of dollars to fund immigration enforcement, separate families, disrupt communities’ entire social and economic infrastructure, and commit countless human rights abuses, but this money comes at the expense of prioritizing vital programs and services that support everyone’s needs, like healthcare and food assistance for children and families.
This is an outrage, but you still have an opportunity to urge your elected officials to NOT approve this funding. Join us in urging your Senators to block the administration’s devastating attacks on immigrants by rejecting more funding for enforcement, detention, and deportation throughout this year’s government funding process.
