TIME’S UP VTA! FAIR CONTRACT NOW!

VTA Strike

After months of bargaining for a fair and decent contract for transit workers employed by the Valley Transportation Authority (VTA), represented by Amalgamated Transit Union Local 265, we have taken a stand and withdraw our labor until a union contract is reached and approved by VTA workers.

There has never been a strike at the VTA. But the VTA will not update key employment policies that leave workers vulnerable, that create distrust and confusion and a sense of instability among employees. Workers also face many safety hazards that are not being addressed. Worst of all, workers can barely afford to live in the city where they work!

So, time is up. The VTA must come to its senses and settle right away so service can continue. The time is now to reach a deal to create a more equitable, stable and fair workplace to workers and passengers alike! To voice your support for our struggle, just fill out this form!
