As Israel slaughters and ethnically cleanses tens of thousands of Palestinians, Alameda County continues to invest tens of millions of our tax dollars in companies that enable Israel's genocide and its decades-long occupation of Palestine. One such company is Caterpillar (CAT), which provides Israel with armored bulldozers equipped with weapons. They are essentially tanks. These D9 bulldozers are used to murder and assault Palestinians and to also destroy Palestinian homes and infrastructure. Recently, an Israeli soldier admitted that the bulldozers had been used to run over hundreds of Palestinians "dead and alive" in Gaza. Our tax dollars enable these heinous acts.

The Board of Supervisors has delegated authority to invest the county's funds to Treasurer Henry "Hank" Levy. It is, therefore, crucial that we pressure him to support divestment. If you live in Alameda County, please join us in demanding that Treasurer Levy divest our public funds from Israel's crimes against humanity.
