Urge NJDEP to Oppose Underground Cavern Storage

grey and white and black smoke stacks, pumping visible air pollution

Proposed underground gas storage caverns at the Repauno site in Gibbstown, NJ, pose serious threats to people, ecosystems and the spiritual integrity of sacred waters. The Delaware River is a living waterway-home to countless species and essential to surrounding communities. This site is already overburdened with industrial hazards, located in a densely populated area including communities living in environmental injustice, and lies near critical infrastructure and flood-prone zones. Approving this permit means inviting disaster, increasing pollution, and further endangering those already suffering environmental harms.

We must speak out now. Our voices, rooted in care for sacred Earth and all beings can help stop this dangerous expansion. Tell NJDEP to deny the permit and protect the sacred waters of the Delaware River. Future generations-and the spirit of water-are depending upon us.
