Urge Your Senator to Pass a Budget that Protects Public Services
State employees have voted to approve an agreement that, according to independent analysis, will save Connecticut taxpayers $1.57 billion over the next two years and $24 billion over 20 years.
This is an average of $17,500 per worker.
While state employees are not the cause of the revenue shortfall driving Connecticut's budget deficit, we have agreed to step up and help solve it. We felt it was a necessary sacrifice to protect the important services that we’ve dedicated our lives to. We have once again demonstrated the value of collective bargaining to solve complex problems in a fair way.
Now it's time for the State Senate to do its work, support this agreement and pass a budget that protects the important public services working families have sacrificed to protect.
