Racist violence continues at HMP Frankland. This week, 6 white supremacist prisoners attacked a prisoner of colour on G-wing, enabled by officers. The man who was attacked is now in solitary confinement in segregation. There has been no repercussions for the officers or prisoners involved in the attack.

This abuse is being denied.

A letter from D. Harding on behalf of the long-term High Security estate in response to the last urgent action about HMP Frankland says:

"I would like to assure you that HMPPS takes very seriously its duty of care to ensure all prisoners are able to serve or await their sentences in a safe and decent environment."

Miran Thakrar has now been held in the segregation unit of HMP Frankland in solitary confinement for a month. Miran has purposefully been placed next to Jason Gomez, a white supremacist who is racially abusing him. Gomez has previously attacked Miran’s brother Kevan and abused the whole Thakrar family during visitation. Miran is being held indefinitely in these conditions.
