We Say "No!" to Criminalizing our Unhoused Neighbors

The Grand Rapids Chamber of Commerce has proposed an ordinance for the City Commission that would further police, fine, and arrest our unhoused neighbors when they occupy public spaces downtown, thus criminalizing those who are unhoused. No matter the language used, the Chamber's proposal would increase the risk to folks whose lives have already been wholly disrupted by skyrocketing rents and a lack of real community care: conditions caused by the Chamber's own policies and practices.

Write your email now! It only takes a few clicks. Tell the Chamber of Commerce and the City Commission that we say "No" to the criminalization of the unhoused and "No" to the proposal in any form! The Chamber of Commerce must rescind the proposal or face a formal boycott of the businesses involved.
