We support a fair and sustainable Muni funding measure!
San Francisco's transit system (Muni) is facing a $322 million annual deficit starting in 2027. If left unaddressed, this will have devastating effects on our community. We could lose bus lines and see remaining bus lines become even more overcrowded with service ending at 9 pm each night.
Our campaign has pushed for a measure on the San Francisco November 2026 ballot that would complement an additional regional transit ballot measure. Mayor Lurie has taken leadership and proposed a parcel tax to help fill the deficit, which we applaud. However, it is important that this measure goes all the way to prevent service cuts, grow service, and advance equity.
Write to Mayor Lurie today to ask for a ballot measure that is winnable, fair, and ambitious and improves our public transit system! Please send this letter if you ever take SF public transit even if you aren’t a resident.
