CDOT has released a plan to improve the bike network in the City of Chicago by adding a new greenway along the length of Wellington Ave, to help improve the safety of the many cyclists who already use that street to travel about the city. However, the plan has received aggressive push-back from a small but vocal minority of residents, and the Aldermen for those wards appear to be tepid in support of this necessary iteration to the current city bike network.
