WNYC Transmitter Park Needs Restrooms
Let your voice be heard. Tell Council Member Lincoln Restler we need to create ADA-compatible restrooms in WNYC Transmitter Park.
WNYC Transmitter Park is a highly utilized destination public open space that is steadily increasing in popularity and usage, especially as more residents continue to arrive in this neighborhood with booming housing development showing no sign of slowing down. However, this public open space in Greenpoint is the only park or playground in this neighborhood that needs restrooms.
Many witnessed and heard accounts of children and adults relieving themselves in the park’s gardens or behind trees. This is an unconscionable, terrible, and unnecessary condition that has existed for ten years and counting since the park’s inception.
Please send a letter to Lincoln Restler asking him to secure capital funds in the coming fiscal year City budget to create this critical infrastructure in our beloved park.
