	"description": "NYC DSA invites DSA members and the broader NYC community to apply to participate in a pilot series of courses on 1) fascism and 2) imperialism. Modeled on political education endeavors such as the Communist Party&#x27;s Jefferson School and the Socialist Party&#x27;s Rand School, the NYC DSA Academy for Socialist Education pilot aims to supplement ongoing NYC DSA education with more academically rigorous offerings taught by academics and scholars in the field. Please note that these are 4-session courses held every other Monday. Due to space considerations, course size is limited. Applicants should be committed to fully participate in classes (attending sessions, doing readings). A small fee will go toward paying for the space (sliding scale $20-$30/DSA members; $30-$40/non DSA members).",
