"description": "145,000 Moms Stand with the Strikers Fighting for Freedom Join moms on June 5, 2026 to flood the phones of congress and demand they meet the strikers' demands, shutdown Dilley and close ALL the camps, and bring our kids and families home NOW! Mama, did you see a recent report found that at least 145,000 U.S. citizen children have lost a parent to immigration detention or deportation? That's 145,000 children wondering when—or if—their mom or dad is coming home. We refuse to let that become just another statistic. On June 5, 145,000 moms will take one action for every child who has lost a parent to immigration detention or deportation. If you're feeling frustrated, heartbroken, or unsure how to help, this is your moment. Join us on June 5th! It only takes five minutes. We'll give you everything you need. What's happening Mama, I need you to sit with this for a second. Imagine leaving everything behind for a chance to build a better life for your family. Imagine being separated from your loved ones and held in conditions so unbearable that your only way to be heard is to put your body on the line through a hunger strike. Right now, families are being held inside detention centers across the country. Detainees are reporting rotten food, inadequate medical care, prolonged isolation, and worsening mental health behind locked doors. We started organizing against children in camps, but Dilley is not the whole story. Across the country, parents are being detained, families are being separated, and children are paying the price. At least 145,000 U.S. citizen children have lost a parent to immigration detention or deportation. The pressure is working, because moms like you are showing up! In April, moms organized two actions to expose what is happening inside Dilley. More than 10,000 moms went live on social media. The next day, mothers from across Texas caravaned to the gates of Dilley and demanded families be freed. That pressure is working. Families and detainees are slowly being released. But we cannot free families one by one while thousands remain trapped in detention and 145,000 children are still living with the consequences of family separation. The children are asking us to act, and now their parents inside are asking us to act. From Dilley to Delaney Hall to Adelanto, people in detention are risking everything to demand dignity, safety, and freedom. On June 5, Moms Will Call Congress to Demand Meet the strikers' demands Shut down Dilley and close the camps Bring our kids and families home You can do this from your couch, your car, your desk, or while your kids nap. Because no child belongs without their parent. No parent belongs in a detention camp. And every mom knows: that the children are always ours, every single one of them.",
