Wade, is a disgusting yet expected decision from an undemocratic, unelected court. While it is not a final decision of the court and abortion now remains legal, this cannot stand. It is the time for action. We call on SWMI DSA members and allies to mobilize against this violent attack on abortion rights. Show that Kalamazoo supports abortion rights by joining us for the Abortion Rights are Human Rights! rally on Saturday, May 7 and 1pm in Bronson Park. We demand Congress pass federal legislation to protect abortion as a human right and repeal the filibuster if needed to do so. We demand that the Michigan Legislature, Governor Whitmer and Attorney General Nessel act immediately to protect abortion as a human right in the State of Michigan. We call on organized labor, workers, and unionists to recognize that banning abortion is class warfare and join this fight. We encourage SWMI DSA members to support ongoing reproductive justice work.
