	"description": "Join the Abolition and Immigrant Justice working groups of Portland and Tualatin Valley DSA for an organizing event on automatic license plate readers (ALPRs). We will begin by giving a short presentation about ALPRs and the growing movement to stop Flock and other AI-driven ALPR companies from surveilling our communities. Using an anti-imperialist and systems framing, we will unite with organizers across the Portland metro area who are working to end ALPR use by police and ICE to track immigrants and other marginalized community members. After the event, all will be invited to meet at Horse Brass Pub (4534 SE Belmont St Portland, OR 97215), 9 blocks away from the event venue to continue to make connections across organizations and regions. Accessibility information: This event will be held at Muir Hall, an ADA accessible event space within Taborspace (5441 SE Belmont St. Portland, OR 97215) in Portland. Masks provided and required in this space, and guidance will be given to make this space safer for our COVID conscious community members. We are currently working to obtain two HEPA air filters for the event. Masks will not be required at the second event location.",
