	"description": "Join Metro DC DSA’s Internationalism Working Group for a training on how to canvass for the Apartheid Free DC campaign with DC for Palestine. &amp;nbsp;The Apartheid-Free Communities network formed in 2022, following the emerging consensus among the international human rights community that Israel’s treatment of the Palestinian people amounts to the Crime of Apartheid. This U.S. coalition is convened by the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC) and is part of the international BDS movement. DC for Palestine started the Apartheid Free DC campaign when it joined this network and expanded the pledge to call for our community members to uphold specific boycott/divestment targets as part of signing on as Apartheid-Free. In this training you will learn about the crime of apartheid, the pledge to be apartheid free, and how to conduct organizing conversations about this important mission. The goal of Metro DC DSA’s participation is to bolster existing efforts to add local businesses to the network and boycott campaign. After this training, you will be able to plug in to these efforts along with other organizations and participate in canvassing and relationship-building with businesses and organizations in our community. &amp;nbsp;",
