"description": "Join City Council Member Helen Rosenthal and UWS members of the Hand in Hand: The Domestic Employers Network and the NYC Care Campaign on March 24th at 8:15pm for a community conversation about domestic work with Upper West Side caregivers and employers. When Covid-19 hit, the care work fell mostly on women’s shoulders; and, each of us, domestic employers and workers were left alone to figure out how to support our families. Nannies, home attendants and housekeepers are essential workers who keep families working. Bring your care questions, concerns and hopes! The Upper West Side is home of hundreds of domestic employers, workers and older adults to depend on the care and support of caregivers who are mostly immigrant women of color. The NYC Care Platform’s legislative agenda aims to transform the domestic and care sector; providing labor protections and benefits to workers, and support to employers who want to do the right thing. If you have questions, please email tatiana@domesticemployers.org or lisa@simplyput.org.",
