	"description": "This legislative session is quickly coming to an end and the opportunities for us to influence the outcome for our endorsed bills are precious and important and can make a difference. That is why we are asking you to join us on Thursday, 5/21, to show legislators that RI cares about passing meaningful climate legislation this session! &amp;nbsp; The doors open to the chambers at 3:30 so we will gather outside the State House Library at 3:15 to organize. Wear green! We will focus on our 5 priority bills that you can read more about here: CARI 2026 PRIORITY BILLS. The message is clear: these bills are meaningful and are no-cost to low-cost, and there is no reason not to pass them this year. No more kicking the can down the road! &amp;nbsp; The RI Climate Superfund Bill, which we have endorsed, also has a hearing in the State house at the Rise of the Senate (around 4pm – see agenda). We will have materials from the Make Polluters Pay campaign to build support for this bill as well! No experience necessary — just a willingness to show up, be seen, and engage.
