"description": "Boulder City Council is trying to cut wages for tipped workers while claiming otherwise. If they take no action, we'll see the tipped minimum wage rise slowly and steadily over the course of 5 years, a plan that the city council previously passed. Instead, they're considering several different options altering the tax credit that benefits restaurant owners. All of these options would result in reduced take-home pay for tipped workers. That's a wage cut. Period. The only request we're making of them is rather simple: Do Nothing. So, join us at the Pearl Street Mall for a casual clinic on how to canvass & talk about the Wage Cut! being pushed by Boulder City Council Members. It's very common to be scared/anxious about canvassing if you haven't done it before. Which makes this a great opportunity to practice being brave. Our organizers have a lot of canvassing experience, and we're not about to hand you a clipboard and send you into the deep end. As might be expected, we've also got some 'A Wage Cut!' campaign swag you might enjoy. Hope to see you on Sunday!",
