"description": "This training will help identify, connect, and support folks within their neighborhoods to engage with their community groups, map existing resources and relationships in their area, identify gaps, make direct asks of their neighbors to join efforts, and determine how we can reinforce the lines of care and defense our communities need. We aim to continue the efforts that began with the first iteration of this event for the whole STL region, now targeting specifically Mid-County and Central City, although everyone is welcome! This workshop is not only a space for learning but also action by putting a plan in place for group building. The workshop will begin with a lecture then we will have breakout discussions while completing a workplan for next steps. This training is best if you bring along neighbors, friends, coworkers, or other parents/caregivers to make a collective plan of action together! Example Neighborhoods: Central West End, Maplewood, Forest Park Neighborhoods, Kirkwood, West End, University City, Downtown West, and everywhere in between!",
