"description": "Support for Climate Change Legislation was submitted by Local 1253 and adopted as amended by the 46th Biennial Convention in 2015. As a result, WFSE committed to supporting legislative and policy initiatives regarding energy generation and consumption, living wage jobs in the new green economy, and policy proposals regarding sustainable development. We want our union to be climate champions. We will be hosting a discussion with environmentalists, policy-makers, and workers on how WFSE can be a leader in the labor movement in the fight to address climate change.",
