This event will discuss the safety needs and considerations of Deaf survivors of domestic violence (both in and out of a shelter context), and will provide advocates with tools for working with Deaf survivors in their programs and community. The 3-hour workshop will be led by Imonie Gwaltney, and is designed for advocates and service providers working to empower survivors and their families in DC. The training will be conducted primarily in ASL and spoken English, and additional interpretation is available upon request.",
