No AI Sellout!," an emergency march/rally for AI justice” When: Monday, December 15th, 12 noon EST Where: assemble American Federation of Musicians (AFM) headquarters 1501 Broadway/Times Square NYC). We will then march to WMG, UMG, possibly SONY HQ. (details tba). What: This an emergency action to prevent mass displacement and devaluation of musicians work due to the licensing of major label catalog to AI companies. These deal are being hyped as protecting major label artists and songwriters. But side musicians, non-featured artists/band members/indie artists are at serious risk of displacement and devaluation. We are a demanding >that the AFM (the Union) take action to protect all musicians: >that the major labels not license to AI corporations exploiting ANY musicians. >That the AFM negotiate on indie musicans’ behalf in the upcoming negotiations with the major labels, on AI and other issues. >if you haven’t already, plse sign the We Need a Union petition >If you have, plse circulate the petition ***ex: Universal Music Group and Warner Music Group's recently announced licensing deals with AI companies SUNO]",
