	"description": "We can only build community power if we are talking to our neighbors. Come join us! If you&#x27;ve never canvassed before: we will provide you with a thorough training, pair you up with someone experienced/confident, and make sure you are comfortable going out. Don&#x27;t worry — we got you! We&#x27;ll be out all day with two shifts, 9:30-1pm and 1pm - 4pm! We will walk you through having a light, informational conversation at the door. We&#x27;ll set you up with our data tool on your phone. We will also give you buttons, stickers, and a handful of literature to take with you to the door. You will need: a fully charged smartphone water a mask — N95, KN95, KF94 strongly preferred! a tote bag/backpack (optional, useful!) a hat (optional, but a good idea) sunscreen (if you need it) COVID Protocol: If you are feeling sick or exhibiting any of the known symptoms of COVID-19 and its variants, please stay at home and rest! As we enter this next surge, we will adapt our trainings to provide maximum protection during training and while at the door. We will take care of each other and the broader CD13 community. If you have not been vaxxed and/or boosted, please do so if possible. All our staff will be fully vaxxed + boosted. You must wear a mask at all times during training and canvassing. For maximum protection, please wear a high quality mask — N95, KN95, KF94 are strongly advised. Some research suggests the omicron variant evades cloth masks. The campaign will try its best to provide these masks to you when possible, but if you are able to procure your own, please do so. We will also be ordering reusable eye protection for our canvassers.",
