However, unlike previous years, this year the Drax board and executive are too scared to turn up in person. This comes after Drax took over £950m in subsidies from the public in 2025, more than their pre-tax profits, while cutting hundreds of staff and giving their CEO Will Gardiner a £2.6m pay packet. This year, Drax is too scared to face the public, choosing to hide behind their screens instead. But their shareholders ARE gathering in London - and we can’t miss this opportunity to let Drax know we’ll never let them hide from the harm they’ve caused to communities, workers, forests and our planet.
