	"description": "Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is seeking NYC-DSA’s endorsement, and we’re hosting a virtual endorsement forum to talk it out! The virtual endorsement forum is open for all NYC-DSA members in good standing to attend, but members of the Queens and Bronx/Upper Manhattan branches will vote whether or not to endorse with a vote at the forum. We need you to RSVP to attend this forum, as we’ll be checking membership status. Forum agenda: The forum will start with a few words from Rep Ocasio-Cortez. Then, she will answer questions submitted in advance from Queens and Bronx/Upper Manhattan members. Questions can be submitted in advance via a form that will be shared. The deadline to submit questions for this portion of the forum is Wednesday, January 31 at 5 pm. After a selection of these questions are answered, questions submitted to the moderator during the forum will be asked, and Rep Ocasio-Cortez will answer those. Then, Rep Ocasio-Cortez will leave the forum, and we will talk about it. Bronx/Upper Manhattan and Queens members will vote whether or not to endorse via OpaVote after the forum. If we decide to endorse, the question of endorsement will go to NYC-DSA’s Citywide Leadership Committee (CLC) for a vote. If this all sounds confusing, please know that we’ll review the agenda and process at the beginning of the forum on Friday, February 2. We’re excited that Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez will be spending time with us and discussing her platform and work in DC. Only attendees who RSVP will be let into the Forum and a Zoom link will be emailed to all attendees who RSVP on the day of the forum.",
