	"description": "Parents in our area know that when multi-academy trust governance fails, the consequences are serious. The Arthur Terry Learning Partnership (ATLP), earlier this year, is a clear example. As a former teacher, I know how vital stability, transparency, and trust are for staff and families — and how damaging poor governance can be. MAT accountability must go further so no community faces this again. That’s why I am introducing a Ten Minute Rule Bill in Parliament to push for stronger governance and meaningful reform. We need tougher oversight of financial management, proper scrutiny at board level, and real consequences when leaders fail. Crucially, trusts must listen to parents. We need clearer expectations for how families’ voices are heard both in schools and at trust level. I want to hear your views on what needs to change.
