The Australian government is pushing its gas-led recovery, handing $billions of public dollars to their buddies in the fossil fuel industry even after we’ve been hit again and again by record breaking droughts, bushfires and floods. It’s a sick and corrupt plan that will trample the land rights of Aboriginal communities, destroy sacred sites and groundwater, and trash our environment and economy. in the Gold Coast we have been surveying our communities and now we join people across the country for a Week of Action to voice our opposition to the government’s dirty ‘gas-led recovery’. We have been consulting people in our electorate on how they would rather spent billions of taxpayer dollars in the upcoming Federal budget instead of gas. Now it&#x27;s time to present the results to our MP and get them to advocate for us. Come, and get your friends and family along too. We know that renewables are cheaper and crucial to our response to climate change. And we *definitely* know there’s a lot more important things for our government to invest $10 billion in. The only way to stop this plan is to join together in communities across the country, and champion the drive for a peoples’ recovery.
