"description": "Wondering how to find your place in the Green Party? Perhaps you've recently become a member but you're not sure where to start with getting involved. Perhaps you're not a member, but you'd like to help the Greens win in the May 2027 local elections. On the 17th of June, we'll be holding a Greens Rising event with three inspiring speakers, to give people the confidence and the knowledge they need to make a difference. Melissa Harker, Connor Dorrian and Jess Ingham are all younger members of the Green Party, and have put themselves forward for some challenging (but highly rewarding) roles. Cllr Melissa Harker is a councillor in Gateshead, having been elected this year. She is also the Co-chair of LGBTIQA+ Greens and North East Young Greens. Connor Dorrian and Jess Ingham put themselves forward as Hartlepool Green Party candidates for the recent local elections, and Jess was recently part of the Green Party's 30 Under 30 scheme, learning essential skills for getting Greens elected. This will be a big one! See you there. 17th June, 7:30pm Darlington Friends Meeting House, 6 Skinnergate DL3 7NB",
