	"description": "Tomorrow, Wednesday, December 14, 6:00 pm, please come to McCormick Square to join a grief circle organized with Scientist Rebellion! This circle will include geoscientists at the AGU (American Geophysical Union) conference, now happening at McCormick Place. McCormick Square is accessible by bus (3 and 21) and the Green Line.  If it is raining, the grief circle will take place inside the main entrance of the building adjacent to McCormick Square, near the main staircase. Thousands of earth and climate scientists will be at the conference. Scientist Rebellion activists, including NASA’s Peter Kalmus and ecologist Rose Abramoff, will be holding a conference teach-in that will lead into the grief circle. At the grief circle we will stand with each other, in each other’s field of presence. We will share from our hearts, share our grief over the human-driven losses of the natural world. We will mourn the catastrophe of continued gravely inadequate action in responding to the climate and biodiversity crises, in our own words, or in the words of others we hold dear. Feel free to bring a short passage to read or a memory to share of some loss–the sound of frogs in the night or birds in the morning, the butterflies and bees that used to fill our gardens, the wildflowers along the sides of the roads.
