	"description": "When advocating for basic income, we often come across narratives that are simply not true – from distrust in people living in poverty, to judgements around deservedness, to the fear that people will stop working if we were to have basic income. So, for our 2024 Week of Action, we want to lean into education, specifically challenging the idea that it is individuals, not our current systems, that are responsible for poverty and homelessness. We also want to answer questions about Universal Basic Income, particularly how it can end homelessness and poverty without drawbacks. Please join us for a community conversation on homelessness &amp; basic income on Sunday, September 22nd from 2-4 PM at the following church venue in Tempe: 1881 E Del Rio Dr, Tempe, AZ 85282 No RSVP’s, just come! In addition to hosting a great conversation, we&#x27;re going to: • Run a 50-50 raffle with a twist. Half of the money raised will go to one random raffle ticket holder. The other half will be evenly distributed to every attendee at the event. Distributions will be rounded down to the nearest whole dollar. This is your opportunity to take part in the first ever (that we know of) UBI Raffle! • Provide snacks and refreshments. • Provide an update on The Logical Foundation&#x27;s Maximum Impact Program - we may even be able to bring one or more of our participants.",
