	"description": "Metro DC DSA members are invited to the July Political Discussion Forum! These forums are a new, recurring discussion space intended to deepen chapter-wide political discussion and facilitate engagement around important questions facing our chapter as well as the broader socialist movement. This month, our topic will be about interacting with elected officials once they&#x27;re in office. Check back for more details soon! This forum aims to create a structured, thoughtful, and collaborative space for members to discuss difficult questions together. These conversations are purely to further our understanding of the topics and the perspectives of our other comrades. The event will include: Opening framing &amp; discussion guidelines Breakout group discussions Reconvening / report-backs Optional social time afterward (RSVP for location) This forum will be hybrid, with both in-person and remote participation available. However, because the discussion will involve breakout-group and rotating discussion formats, in-person attendance is strongly encouraged where possible in order to fully participate in the structure of the event. Snacks and refreshments will be provided. This is the second forum held as a part of an ongoing effort to strengthen democratic culture, political education, and member engagement within MDC DSA.",
