Engage With Your Local Environment and the Community with The LA Green Party Action Event, in Support of The LANCE Trust What: A morning of volunteering along Festival Way removing the old PVC tree guards from the now established hedge row. When: Sunday 14th June 2026, 10am-12.30pm Where: Meet outside Northleaze CE Primary School on Brook Close, BS41 9NG (to then head along Festival Way towards Bristol together) &amp;nbsp; Why: The plastic tree guards, though not the ideal material, have done their job in terms of protecting the young trees which make up the hedge row along Festival Way. Now they are stifling the growth of the trees and shedding micro plastics into the environment. We want to support The LANCE Trust (Long Ashton Nature Community and Environment Trust) to tidy them up. Who: ANYONE! You don’t have to be a Green Party member or even Green Party adjacent. We would just like to get together with as many people as possible to share in this outdoor volunteering activity, to benefit our environment (Under 16’s to be accompanied by a responsible adult :) Plan: We will assemble at the above place and time for a briefing before heading along Festival Way to the location where the previous volunteers ended their good work. From there we will begin removing, gathering and containing the now redundant plastic, which will later be handed to LANCE Trust to recycle. We hope that this will be an enjoyable opportunity to contribute to our local environment while interacting with others who care about the area.",
